What Square does for reviews
- Receipt feedback. Clients rate their visit privately from the digital receipt, and you can reply, send a reward or refund. Turn it on under Customers > Customer directory > Settings > Feedback. These ratings are private, not on Google.
- Google Reviews monitoring on every plan: connect your Business Profile and watch reviews come in.
- Automated campaigns on Plus and Premium, which Square says can “request Google Reviews.” Sellers report these go out after a client becomes a regular or leaves positive feedback.
“Clients should be able to leave a review of the provider after their appointment.”

Find your Google review link
- Search for your business on Google while signed in to the account that manages it.
- Open your Business Profile. Choose Ask for reviews (or Read reviews > Get more reviews).
- Copy the link. It opens the review form directly. Paste it into Foyer’s review request setting.
A review request that gets answered
Short, personal, one link. Send it the morning after, while the visit is fresh:
Two rules: ask everyone, not only happy clients (Google prohibits selective asking, called review gating), and never offer a discount in exchange for a review.
Review requests in Foyer
- Sent after every visit, 20 hours later by default (anywhere from 2 to 96).
- Your link, your words. Paste your Google review link; the email comes in your brand’s colors.
- Never for a canceled visit, and never twice for the same appointment.
- Any Square plan. No Plus subscription needed.
Foyer Page can also show your best Google reviews on your site: you choose up to three, word for word, and the rating only shows at 4.3 stars or above.
