How to add Square Appointments booking to a GoDaddy website

GoDaddy’s website builder takes custom code through one place: the HTML section, which runs your code inside a box on the page. That shapes how Square booking works there. Here is the setup, and the settings that keep it from getting cut off.

Short answer

In the GoDaddy editor, add an HTML section and paste Square’s button or embed code, or the Foyer widget in inline mode. GoDaddy places HTML sections in an iframe, so set a Forced Height tall enough for the booking flow. GoDaddy documents no site-wide code field, so a floating button on every page isn’t an option there.

  • Use inline mode, with a height of about 900 pixels
  • Link your header’s Book button to the booking page
  • GoDaddy Online Appointments uses Square only for payments

Option 1: Square’s button or embed

  1. Open your booking channels. Square Dashboard > Appointments > Online Booking > Channels.
  2. Choose how to add it. Under “Add your booking flow to an existing site,” click Get Started, then Create button, Get embed code or Get URL.
  3. Copy the code or link. Pick the location, customize the button if you made one, and copy.

Square’s embed opens the booking flow “in another tab or window,” so the booking itself happens on Square’s page, not yours. That is fine for a simple site. If you want booking to stay on your page in your design, use the Foyer widget below.

Paste it into GoDaddy

  1. Open the editor. GoDaddy product page > Websites + Marketing > Manage next to your site > Edit Website.
  2. Add an HTML section. Add a section where you want it, search for HTML and select Add.
  3. Paste into Custom Code. Leave Forced Height blank for a button, or set it for an embed. Changes save automatically; publish when ready.

Option 2: the Foyer widget on GoDaddy

The Foyer widget books into Square Appointments from your own page, as a popup with a floating Book button or inline inside a page, with deposits, member prices, packages and promo codes. Your install code comes from the Foyer dashboard with your ID filled in:

<script src="https://app.foyerkit.com/widget.js" data-merchant="your-id" async></script>
  1. Make a Book page. Add a page called “Book” so every button on the site can link to it.
  2. Add an HTML section to it. Paste your Foyer code set to inline mode.
  3. Set Forced Height. Around 900 pixels fits the full booking flow on phones and desktops. GoDaddy: “If your widget does not appear, set its height to a higher value.”
  4. Link your buttons. Point the header’s Book button and any service buttons to the Book page.

Prefer not to manage it? A Foyer Page gives you a full booking page with the popup on every button, and you can link to it from GoDaddy.

What to know about GoDaddy

  • Embeds are iframes. GoDaddy: “Since the embed is placed inside of an iframe, the widget may not be responsive.” That is why a fixed height matters.
  • No site-wide code. GoDaddy’s settings take Google Analytics, the Facebook Pixel and a few verification tags, but no general header code.
  • Use HTTPS in any code you paste.
  • GoDaddy Online Appointments is GoDaddy’s own scheduler, one per site. It can use Square to take payments, but it doesn’t sync with Square Appointments, so pick one calendar.
  • Airo AI Builder: GoDaddy lists custom code as not supported there.

Questions Square sellers ask

Can I connect Square Appointments to my GoDaddy website?

Yes, with code. Add an HTML section and paste Square’s booking button or embed, or the Foyer widget. GoDaddy’s own Online Appointments uses Square only for payments and doesn’t sync with Square Appointments.

Why is my booking widget cut off on GoDaddy?

GoDaddy places HTML sections in an iframe with a fixed height. Set Forced Height higher, around 900 pixels for a full booking flow.

Can I add code to every page on GoDaddy?

GoDaddy documents no general site-wide code field. Settings only takes specific tags like Google Analytics and the Facebook Pixel, so add booking with an HTML section on a Book page.

Does GoDaddy have a free plan that allows HTML?

GoDaddy’s help doesn’t state a plan for the HTML section. A custom domain needs a paid Websites + Marketing plan.

Will bookings from my website show up in Square?

Yes. Square’s own button and Foyer’s widget both book straight into Square Appointments, with the client in your Square customer directory and payments in your Square account.
